Congratulations to Rochelle DeLaRonde for being selected as a Ch’nook Scholar!

Ch’nook Scholars are Aboriginal business students that are selected for their continued work in the community, that strive to take on leadership roles, and who show potential as future community leaders.

Rochelle is a Tahltan student at Thompson Rivers University, working on a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Management. At the university, Rochelle volunteers with the Aboriginal Mentor Program. She has also volunteered for the Kamloops’ Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. Rochelle’s work experience has been predominantly within the mining and oil and gas sectors — and plans to work towards a career in Human Resources.

As one of the Ch’nook Scholars, Rochelle is being awarded $2,000 in scholarships towards her ongoing full-time business studies, the opportunity for unique mentorship to develop her leaderships skills and business knowledge from current industry leaders, and access to Ch’nook facilitated paid internship programs!

Congratulations Rochelle — we are proud of you!
