TNDC Office Assistant-Employment Opportunity

Tahltan Nation Development Corporation

Reporting to the Manager, Finance and Administration, the position of Office
Assistant provides reception to TNDC personnel as well as assisting in
various financial / administrative and other related duties as required.

 
Duties & Responsibilities
• answering and directing calls; greeting clients and visitors
• sorting and distributing incoming/outgoing mail and correspondence
• maintaining TNDC filing systems
• maintaining inventory of office supplies and ordering, including
processing non-inventory purchase orders
• arranging and confirming travel arrangements
• assisting in the organization, set-up, and recording of meetings
• assisting with general administrative duties as requested

 
Education & Experience
• Grade 12 with post-secondary coursework and/or the equivalent in
training and experience preferred; training available if required
• knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
• knowledge and experience in general office procedures and practices
• knowledge and experience operating office equipment
• ability to organize and prioritize workload
• ability to exercise initiative and good judgement
• ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team
• ability to maintaining strict confidentiality

 
Conditions of Employment
• willingness to sign an Oath of Confidentiality
• completion of a criminal record check as requested
• willingness to work occasional overtime during peak or critical work periods
