In celebration of Tahltan Day, the very first Tahltan Day Potluck was successfully held in Treaty 8, Fort St. John on October 18.
Around 50 Tahltans joined the celebration, traveling all the way from Alberta and across BC to immerse in the spirit of Tahltan pride.
Thanks to generous contributions, everyone present enjoyed a delicious Tahltan menu featuring dry fish, half dried – baked salmon and rice, curry moose stew, chili, and a variety of bannock, along with great door prizes supported by community donations.
The event was made possible by dedicated volunteers whose efforts brought together Tahltans of all ages. It was especially meaningful for Elders and youth, who connected through culture, laughter, and love!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fort St. John for taking the initiative to organize and host this celebration. ❤️
