Glenora Cultural Fish & Literacy Camps

The Glenora Cultural Fish & Literacy Camps ran from July 13–24, 2026, with daily programming from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM for youth ages 7–16. It was a wonderful gathering where youth, families, and community members came together to learn, share, and spend time on the land in a supportive and joyful environment.

Throughout the camp, participants took part in a mix of activities that connected culture, literacy, and hands-on learning. Youth made art, did writing and drawing projects, learned language words tied to the land, and helped with fish preparation and preservation, all while building skills and confidence in a fun and meaningful way. Time at the river and outdoors gave everyone a chance to connect with the land and with each other.

The camp also had a strong sense of community, with shared meals, laughter, and lots of support from staff, elders, and helpers. The Glenora Cultural Fish & Literacy Camps were a beautiful opportunity for youth to learn, grow, and celebrate culture together.
