The Education Department strives to uphold the Tahltan Band’s mandate by supporting Tahltan members in achieving their educational and career goals. The Department provides financial assistance, guidance, and training opportunities for members pursuing post-secondary education. Support is available to eligible members both on and off reserve.

Post-Secondary Student Support
This program provides financial assistance to eligible Tahltan members enrolled in accredited post-secondary institutions.
Funding may include support for tuition, mandatory fees, books, seasonal travel and living allowances. Seasonal travel is for students who reside and travel back to traditional territory.
* You can submit your post-secondary application in one of the following two ways. Please choose only one method, do not submit two applications. The deadline for post-secondary applications is May 15 of each year.
- Option 1: Complete this form and email it to isabel.reid@tahltan.ca, along with the required documents.
- Option 2: Complete the online form and upload the required documents directly through the form.
Student Guidance & Career Development
The Education Department provides support beyond funding by assisting students with:
- Program and career planning
- Transition from high school to post-secondary
- Understanding funding policies and application requirements
The goal of these programs is to strengthen education outcomes, build workforce skills, and support long-term success for Tahltan members and the Nation as a whole.
