Here is everything you’ll need to know about the upcoming 2016 Tahltan Band Election!
It was important for leadership this year to make it easier for as many Tahltan Band members to vote as possible. So to increase speed of delivery, mail-in ballots were sent to Vancouver to ensure they made it in time to be counted. Also, the addition of a third polling station in Vancouver will help more members cast their ballot. Make sure your voice is heard, get out and VOTE!
When and where can I vote?
Date: June 29, 2016
Time: 9:00am until 8:00pm (PST)
Polling Stations:
- Telegraph Creek
Recreation Centre (1A Sawtooth Rd, IR#12) - Dease Lake
Tahltan Central Government Office (13 Hill St, IR#9) - Vancouver
1075 West Georgia (Erickson Boardroom on the main floor)- Directions:
Enter building from the front door and follow signs. After 5:30pm, the door will be locked to the public, but an attendant will be waiting to allow Tahltan Band members access. Call 604-786-2512 for assistance.
Skytrain/Transit – The building is located walking distance from Burrard Stn. To best plan your trip by train or bus use TransLink’s Trip Planner: http://tripplanning.translink.ca
Driving – There are many pay parking lots close by. Public paid parking is available in the bottom of the building until 5:00pm (turn left into the parking lot from Dunsmuir right before Thurlow).
